In The Net Sports Academy and the Derry SportsZone have teamed up to provide a youth winter futsal league for girls and boys in u12 and u14.

The program runs on Saturdays with 1 hour games between 9a-12p each week (each division will play within the same time range each week). There will be 3, 6 week sessions starting the first week of November.

* My child has never played before, can he/she register?

Yes, the league will feature both inexperienced and experienced players looking to play over the winter to sharpen up their skills before the spring season.

* What is the level of competition in the league?

The league consists of varying capabilities with the primary focus on having fun.

* What age group can sign up?

The following are the divisions we offer:

* What are the sessions, days, & times of the league?

We offer 3, 6 week sessions through the winter (week 6 is a playoff format):

Session 1: November 5 - December 10, 2011

Session 2: January 7 - February 11, 2012

Session 3: March 3 - April 7, 2012

* Days & Times?

All 1 hour game times (2, 25 min. halves) are played on Saturdays between 9am-12pm, schedules will be announced 1 week prior to session start dates.

* What are the costs?

Free Agent (player who is not coming in with a team and wants to be placed on one):

$100 per player (includes a shirt)

A $10/free agent and $50/team charge will be added for all registrations that are less than 7 days from the start of the session. We will make every attempt to place your child on a team however it is not guaranteed that we will be able to do so. If we cannot place him/her on a team we will issue a full refund.

Min 4 / Max 8 Players per team. A $250 non refundable deposit is required to hold your team's spot. Full payment is required 10 days prior to the start of the session, if not received in that time then you will have assumed to forfeit your spot and lose your deposit. Team registration must be done in person or over the phone, please call or come in to the center to register your team.

* What is the game format?

Games are 4v4, no goalies

* What equipment does my son/daughter need?

Players should bring the following: Shin guards, water and footwear*

* Sneakers or indoor soccer shoes (no cleats or turfs) as games are played on rubber sports court

Your son/daughter will receive a team jersey on the first day of the session.
