2009 AAU BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT RULES

1. HOME TEAM
        Listed first and sits to the right of the scorer
        Wears light colored uniform

2. GAME TIME
        Two 16-minute halves; clock stops on every whistle
        Half time - 5 minutes
        Ten minute warm up
        Games may begin before scheduled start time provided a 10-minute warm up has been granted

        and coaches agree to begin early

3. GAME RULES - Federation Rules EXCEPT:

         TIMEOUTS: 2 full timeouts per game, plus 2 thirty-second timeouts.

         In overtime periods, there will be one timeout allowed.

         Timeouts do not carry over from regulation; this includes 30-second timeouts.

DOUBLE BONUS ON TEN TEAM FOULS:  NO ONE AND ONES

         OVERTIME: 

         1st overtime = 3 minutes; 
         2nd overtime = 2 minutes
         3rd and all overtimes to follow = 1 minute

4. Each team is required to have a designated person to sit at the scorer’s table to keep your own scorebook.

    Home team will be official book.

5. EACH TEAM PLEASE CLEAN YOUR BENCH AREA AFTER EACH GAME.

6. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled starting time. If you are late, a forfeit may be declared.
